Chicago, IL Sewer & Air Duct Repair

Televised sewer from manhole by fence and saw crack at approximately 47ft. Next upstream manhole is approximately 100ft away. There is a gate entrance that can be opened by maintenance on Damien Ave. Pipe is 10". They are waiting for the State to approve the material we would need to use. 4/30/26- cleaned line with hydro jetted manhole to manhole approx. 150’ installed 10” spot repair liner from downstream manhole 45’ upstream over fracture in clay pipe allowing heavy root to grow in main line, centered spot repair at fracture and covered over into good clay pipe on both upstream and downstream side of spot repair.

Televised sewer from catch basin in back of building to the city main at about 82ft. Saw one offset joint and one joint with roots but did not see any cracking. Televised both with and without a guide and did not see any cracking either time.

Televised sewer from floor clean out downstream of flood control. Sewer has roots at many joints and has an area that is heavily cracked. Will provide either a spot repair quote or quote for lining entire line. City sewer has been lined but the connection has only been re-instated 50%. Should contact city to cut the liner out all the way.

4-20-2026: preformed smoke test from toilet collar in basement, also from 4” pvc stack in front of house we got smoke from both access points. Televised sewer from 4” stack 75’ downstream to city main heavy roots at multiple joints recommended lining from 4” stack minimally 15’-20’ to past both 4” old downspout tie ins(has newer interior sump pit and pump in basement also new interior drain tile we tvd from sump pit) sump discharge ties into sanitary sewer recommend installing bypass valve to discharge outside above ground if needed, or line entire run 75’ to city main. Also found old possible kitchen line near ejector pit recommend opening wall to concrete old line off to floor level.

4-20-2026: dye tested both bathrooms upstairs and downstairs no water leaking from sewer, found what looks to be like leak on foundation wall near sewer behind bedroom wall. Suggest testing with garden hose during time when floor is dry to see if water comes through crack in foundation wall. ***Need to refund deposit paid for sewer patch that will not be done.

Televised sewer from catch basin under deck in back of house. Located area approximately 81 ft out where pipe is broken and needs repair. Location is extending under sidewalk. Suggest meeting inspector back on site to have the city take care of problem under the PDP program.

Sewer was backed up and needs to be Rodded. Referred A-1 Sewer.

Televised sewer from ouotside clean out back into house. Pipe is 4” cast iron and slightly scaled but do not see any signs of roots. Televised ducts under slab in house. Ducts are spiral wound galvanized and are showing signs of rust an deterioration. Will provide proposal for spin cast mortaring and spray lining with Duct Armor.

Televised sewer from catch basin to city main. Heavy grease build up in first section and around 50ft. Suggest hydrojetting to break up grease and flush it to main or back to catch basin. Kitchen sink and laundry no longer go to catch basin.
